Yousef has been a freelance tourist guide since 1998, working in English and Arabic. He graduated from Birzeit University, majoring in business administration and sociology and then spent ten years in Saudi Arabia working in insurance. He returned to Jerusalem in 1991 as a managing director of Beit Almaqdes Company. He attended the Guide Course of the Ministry of Tourism in 1998 and received a Tourism Expert Licence from the Ministry in 2009.
