The destinations of the MWNF Travel programme 2009 / 2010 are the ten countries around the Mediterranean basin that participate in the MWNF Exhibition Trail cycle Islamic Art in the Mediterranean: Egypt, Jordan, Italy, Morocco, the Palestinian Territories, Portugal, Spain, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey.

Tours in Algeria and in other Mediterranean countries with Islamic heritage will be developed in the future.

MWNF Travel tours can be organised for any kind of target and budget, including school and youth tourism, study tours, company trips or also exclusive tours for small groups composed of individual travellers requesting the highest standards.

Does the price include the international flight ticket?

No, the prices indicated on this website do not include the flights to the first and from the last destination. These flights have to be booked by each traveller or group individually. Our local partner travel agents are available to provide assistance if needed.

Will I be insured during the tour?

Insurance is not included in the price.

Travel insurance is, however, compulsory to participate in any of the tours announced on this website and it is the responsibility of each traveller or group to make the necessary arrangements.

Our partner travel agents require you to take out adequate insurance against the usual risks and will ask you to prove that you have travel insurance by notifying the name, policy number and emergency contact numbers of your insurer. Insurance details will have to be notified when you pay the balance for the booked tour.

Who are the guides or tour lecturers who accompany the tour?

All tours will be accompanied by guides with specific knowledge of the Islamic heritage of their country. Some tours may also be accompanied by local MWNF staff or by curators who participated in devising the relevant Exhibition Trail and who will be acting as tour lecturers.
